Full-Time (35 hours Mon-Fri 9am-5.00pm)

Do you have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Legal Cashier?

We're seeking a Legal Cashier to join our finance team in Lancaster and provide cashiering support and analysis for the firm:

  • Managing client accounts and responsible for keeping them up to date in accordance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR).

  • Recording on to the accounts system financial transactions

  • Drawing cheques, arranging bank transfers etc

  • Preparing financial reports and accounts

  • Preparing management information reports

  • Paying invoices authorised

  • Liaising with bankers as instructed, and banking

  • Balancing/reconciling office and clients bank accounts in accordance with SRA rules

  • Opening/maintaining designated deposit accounts in accordance with SRA rules

  • Operating the petty cash system

  • CMRF return for Legal Helps

  • Resolving office account and client account queries

  • Dealing with credit control

  • Opening of new client/files on the system

  • Archiving files

  • Marking system when files destroyed

  • Covering reception when required

  • Any other tasks that might be reasonably required

  • Preparing and authorising online electronic bank transfers, i.e. CHAPS, BACS Faster Payment.

  • Monitoring and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
