A Legacy Worth Celebrating
Over the past two decades, our team has helped around 200 Cancer Research UK supporters put plans in place for their families and loved ones, while also leaving a gift in their will to fund vital cancer research. Together, those pledged gifts total almost £900,000. It is an extraordinary figure, and one we are incredibly proud of.
Rebecca Lauder, who leads our Wills and Probate team, reflects on what the partnership has meant in practice:

The Bigger Picture
The scale of the impact that gifts in wills make to Cancer Research UK cannot be overstated. In the last financial year alone, ending April 2025, gifts in wills contributed £288 million to Cancer Research UK, representing more than a third of the charity’s entire annual income. That income funds the pioneering research that has helped double cancer survival rates in the UK over the past 50 years.
None of that is possible without people choosing to leave a gift, and none of those gifts would be properly secured without solicitors willing to support the process with care and professionalism.
