Our Property team are now looking to recruit a qualified solicitor or Legal Executive with proven commercial property experience of not less than 2 years to join the team. The ideal candidate would also have residential property experience but it is not essential.
Key responsibilities
Provide high quality legal services to the firm’s clients, predominantly in relation to sales, purchases, securities, landlord and tenant and lease management matters.
Liaise with agents and introducers as to the progress of transactions.
Conduct own cases and provide support to the other team members as required in providing advice and representation to the firm’s clients.
Ensure services are provided in a timely fashion and the client is informed regularly on progress and costs.
Develop and maintain good client relationships.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications
Qualified solicitor (minimum 2 years PQE), or fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
Expertise in key areas of law and procedure in relation to sales, purchases, securities, landlord and tenant and lease management matters.
Able to conduct own caseload with minimal supervision.
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Good IT skills.
Commercial and financial awareness including ability to take responsibility for financial control of own client matters.
Able to develop positive relationships with clients and manage client expectations.
Effective prioritisation with ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
Marketing, networking and business development skills commensurate with the role.
