Landlord & Tenant Disputes

James joined BSG in July 2015. He was admitted as a  Solicitor on the 1st of June  2018. James is based at our Preston office, but also handles cases for clients based in the Lancaster area.

James’ areas of practise include personal injury claims, contested probate disputes, contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, property disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, appeals against Community Protection Notices, recovering debts, bankruptcy proceedings and employment disputes (including settlement agreements).

James also specialises in dispute resolution including mediation. James has recently helped to settle an intellectual property dispute and a building dispute via mediation.

His philosophy is to negotiate but he is more than willing to take matters to Court if that is what is required to achieve the best result for his clients.

James also drafts terms of business to help avoid clients being at the wrong end of a court case in the future.

James completed his law degree and the Legal Practice Course at The University of Central Lancashire.

In his spare time, James enjoys playing rugby union, running, travelling (usually back to the Emerald Isle) and less tiring activities such as binge-watching dramas on Netflix.
