Fixed Fee Employment Law Services for Employees

1)    Notify your employer of a grievance- £220.00 plus VAT. This includes:

  • A 30 minute appointment;
  • Reviewing documents;
  • Drafting a letter for you to provide to your employer.

2)    Appeal against a disciplinary outcome- £220.00 plus VAT. This includes:

  • A 30 minute appointment;
  • Reviewing documents;
  • Drafting an appeal letter for you to provide to your employer.

3)    Settlement Agreement advice- Minimum of £300.00 plus VAT (usually paid by your employer). This includes:

  • Considering your Contract of Employment and proposed Settlement Agreement;
  • Providing oral advice over the telephone;
  • A Solicitor signing the required Certificate.

4)    Contract of Employment Advice- £250.00 plus VAT (if there are more than 2 restrictive covenants then the fixed fee is £500.00 plus VAT). This includes:

  • Considering your existing contract;
  • Providing you with written advice on terms, including enforceability of restrictive covenant(s).

5)    Unfair Dismissal/Constructive Dismissal claim (Claimant). This includes:

  • Stage 1: An initial consultation, considering paperwork, advising you on your initial prospects of success: £250.00 plus VAT.
  • Stage 2: Dealing with the ACAS Early Conciliation Period, drafting a Schedule of Settlement, advising you on your prospects of success: £360.00 plus VAT.
  • Stage 3: Drafting your ET1 Claim Form, filing it with the Employment Tribunal and providing you with further advice: £250.00 plus VAT.
  • Stage 4: Considering your employer’s ET3 Defence, advising you on your prospects of success: £150.00 plus VAT
  • Stage 5: Drafting a further Schedule of Loss, the List of Documents, Trial Bundle, Witness Statements (maximum of 2), considering  Witness Statements (maximum of 2) from your employer, advising you on prospects of success: £750.00 plus VAT.

NOTE: Each further Witness Statement (to be drafted) will incur a fixed fee of £150.00 plus VAT and each further Witness Statement (to consider) will incur a fixed fee of £85.00 VAT.

  • Stage 6: Preparing for Trial, attending the Trial (including travel, train fare/mileage and waiting time) and considering the typed Employment Tribunal Order: £1,800.00 plus VAT.

Disclaimer in relation to Unfair Dismissal/Constructive Dismissal claims (Claimant):

-        Our fixed fee does not include settlement discussions or negotiations (save for those related to ‘Stage 2’), instructing a barrister, attending a Preliminary Hearing , appealing a decision made by the Employment Tribunal or enforcing any Order made by the Employment Tribunal. Any time spent dealing with aspects outside of the fixed fee arrangement will be charged at £146.00 per hour plus VAT.

-        The fee set out for attending the Tribunal is based on a Hearing taking place at the Manchester Employment Tribunal. There may be an additional charge if the Hearing takes place elsewhere, depending on the location.
