Head of the firm's Litigation Department and based at our Preston office Keith Parr acts for both individual and business clients and deals with a wide area of Court work including personal injury claims, contract disputes, inheritance claims, property disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, professional negligence claims, employment matters, recovering debts and insolvency.

He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1982, joined the firm in 1983 and was made a Partner in 1987

Credentials

• Deputy District Judge adjudicating on a wide range of civil litigation cases and family matters
• Member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel since its inception in 1993
• Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

As a solicitor his philosophy is to negotiate but if that does not achieve a good result for the client to go to Court. Clients will be given the benefit of his considerable experience of dealing with court cases and as a result be advised of what to expect.

As well as dealing with dispute resolution including mediation he also drafts documents regarding terms of business, employment contracts, etc. to try and prevent clients from being at the wrong end of a court case in the future.

He has been an officer of Preston Incorporated Law Society for a number of years including being President in 2000/2001.

Outside of the law his interests include rock music and watching a number of sports
